Who are we?
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized by the State of Wisconsin separate from, but in support of, the McFarland School District volleyball programs. We are run by a team of volunteers who love the sport of volleyball who strive to create opportunities for the advancement of education for our community members. SVO will not engage in activities unrelated to its exempt purposes or in prohibited political or legislative activity.
what is the mcfarland boys volleyball club?
we are a jv level club team that will participate in practices, clinics and non-conference games. we are not sanctioned through wiaa and are not affiliated with the mcfarland school district.
What does SVO do for Mcfarland Girls volleyball?
SVO creates more opportunities to get the girls in the gym to ESTABLISH COMMON LANGUAGE AND KNOWLEDGE BASE, FURTHER DEVELOP FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS, ESTABLISH PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS and DEVELOP SOME CAMARADERIE WITH COACHES AND PLAYERS all while growing the love of volleyball. SVO also helps in creating more opportunitie for fundraising to benefit both the boys and girls teams.
is MBVC affiliated with the mcfarland school district/mrap?
no - our organization is a msd community recreation partner organization (crpo), meaning we are granted permission to use school facilities but are not a school sanctioned team. this format is similar to mbba and other youth club teams.
who is eligible to play for MBVC?
Incoming 8th-12th grade boys for the 2024-2025 school year. we will ask families to complete a ‘md clearance to play’ evaluation prior to our season start date of 8/5.
what will the MBVC season look like?
our season is similar to the wiaa boys’ volleyball season - season starts 8/5 and ends 10/22. the weekly commitment will be 2-4 days per week with optional clinic days included. practices will likely be held from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the mhs gym and games will typically start around 7:00 p.m.
